Whitland Cricket Club was founded over 100 years ago and now has around 60 senior members and well over 100 junior members spread over the Under 11's, Under 13's, Under 15's, Ormond Youth side and a ladies team, who compete in the Pembrokeshire Senior Ladies League, and two teams for girls. We run three Saturday sides in the Pembroke County League, a Sunday side who play mostly against touring sides from all over the country, a mid-week side who play in the Gwili Taf League and the "Die-Hards" who grace our ground on a Friday evening.

The club has a close relationship with the Pembroke County Cricket Club and has been a member since 1962. Representative cricket matches are regularly played on the Whitland Ground.

The Whitland Cricket Ground is generally acknowledged to be one of the finest in the county. The club now boasts a new pavilion and an electronic score-board will soon be an additional feature of this beautiful cricket ground.

Location

Whitland is located midway between Carmarthen and Haverfordwest. The cricket club is situated just off the A40 on the road leading from the round-about into Whitland.

To park proceed past the Whitland Cricket Club gates for about a hundred yards and turn right into the gate marked Whitland Rugby Club and head for the cricket club pavilion.

Our bar and lounge are open to Members and Friends on match days and Friday evenings throughout the season.

Accreditations

Whitland Cricket Club was one of the first clubs in the Pembroke County Cricket Club to be awarded the ECB Clubmark accreditation. All members of the Whitland Cricket Club committee, all club coaches and umpires have been CRB checked. The Club is, therefore, well qualified and equipped to take responsibility for its younger members and promote cricket to the youth of the community. In accordance with the Clubmark regulations, the Club has a Child Welfare Officer and also has four cricket coaches and other helpers who are available to assist all our colts.
